How to use creative tools to solve innovation and business challenges.

Did you know that, when struggling to crack a tricky theoretical problem, Einstein would step away and play the violin?

Despite the growing demand for innovation and new thinking we’re still encouraged to apply the white-heat of evaluation and critical thinking to business challenges. It means that creativity is often treated as an unwelcome guest and new thinking is either lost of disappears into a mountain of red tape.

Recent research suggests that ideas are created by the brain's ‘default network’ - a neural system that needs a calm, relaxed and positive environment to operate effectively (for example, when taking a shower or playing the violin)

It means that creativity is not for the chosen few! It can be practiced and trained by learning how adopt and deploy habits such as mind wandering, playfulness, prototyping and curiosity.

Join this session to unlock the key to your own personal creativity and understand how to apply these tools to solve business challenges in the work place.

What you’ll learn:

  • How the brain develops new ideas & why we often have the best ideas in the shower
  • Creative habits such as mind wandering, playfulness and prototyping
  • A framework for using creativity to solve a business challenge in the work place
