In 2022 the Australian Football League expanded the AFL Women’s competition across all 18 AFL clubs, which granted the Port Adelaide Football Club (PAFC) the chance to field its first professional women’s team in its 152-year history. The Herstory in the Making campaign was formed as a compelling and inspiring brand to elevate the club’s new football product and reach the set objectives around awareness, interest, conversion and loyalty. Through strategic plans and creative executions, in collaboration with all areas of the business, the PAFC marketing team successfully built this moment in time to be one that its community connected with, to be a crucial part of an exciting new chapter.
The “Herstory in the Making – Port Adelaide AFLW” campaign won the 2023 AMI Product or Service Launch or Relaunch Award.
