Ever wondered about being on a board? This is your chance to find out more.
In this webinar, Gina Balarin talks about why more marketers should be on boards, what to do to get on a board, and how the whole way we think about marketing and strategy needs to change.
There aren’t enough marketers on boards. In 2019, 26 out of 7,887 public company board seats were occupied by marketing leaders.
That’s less than a third of a percent!
In 2019, research by SpencerStuart showed that only 26 of the thousands of public company board seats are currently occupied by marketing leaders. Three years earlier, separate revealed only 4% believe that marketing is an important experience to have (versus 47% who believe that finance is).
What’s up with this?
Why aren’t more marketers on boards?
