Course experience
Design Thinking should really be called Design Doing. A hands-on approach builds people’s creative confidence as participants experience what it’s like to be a human-centred designer. Participants get the feel of a design approach, gain some shared vocabulary, and get a taste of each design “mode” (empathise, define, ideate, prototype, test).
Participants will receive:
- A copy of all course content
- All templates used in the program for empathy mapping and ideation
- An introduction to design thinking PDF
- Watch, read and listen library of resources

Simon Banks is an author, podcaster and international speaker on creativity, innovation and design and a happily recovering artist. He describes his geek out spot as the intersection of creativity and design, learning, people and passion which he sees as essential building blocks for future leaders and developing an innovative culture. Simon lives and breathes creativity. He has exhibited his art across the globe, has lectured at the National Gallery of England and developed programs for institutions such as The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, The Sydney Fringe Festival and Vivid Festival and continues to have a foot firmly planted in both the creative and corporate worlds.
