The Speakers:

  • Tim Cartwright, General Manager Fresh Foods at Drakes Supermarkets
  • Matthew Scales, Associate Director Engagement & Communications at Green Industries SA

About the Topic:

At the highest level, the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) promote the incorporation of environmental, social, and corporate governance factors (ESG) into investment decision-making.

This is a driving behaviour for finance providers in the corporate sector.

This is an opportunity to hear how Drakes, major national supermarket chain, is dealing with the practical implementation of these challenges, both with their internal packaging and production, and their marketing activities. But also, how they approach their supply chain and move their supplier partners along the path to a more sustainable product range.

Green Industries SA (GISA) is South Australian Government Department at the forefront of helping businesses and householders embrace a more circular economy. As we move towards an environmentally and economically sustainable future where we minimise waste and maximise recovery, and increase the value of our scarce resources.
