Join us at AMI WA's 2021 kick-off event to meet your State Committee. We will be opening up discussions about our plans for the year and not to mention congratulating our recent graduates from the 2020 Emerging Marketers Mentoring Program. There will also be a short panel session with a recent Mentor and Mentee, and Michael Page Marketing recruitment to provide insights around 'Marketing Skills in Demand'.

Gemma manages the Marketing and Digital team at Michael Page in Perth and has been with the business for 4 years. She recruits a broad range of positions at all levels across marketing, digital, communications, events, brand, graphic design, PR and media.
Previously Gemma studied a Batchelor in Broadcasting and Journalism and is driven by changing lives through creating opportunities for people within the industry to reach their potential.

Danika Briggs - Mentee

Danika has over 6 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having started with Westpac Bank in their Graduate Program, and then moving into relationship banking and marketing roles within the Westpac Group.
Danika currently holds the position of Senior Marketing Coordinator at RAC Finance where she delivers the Consumer Finance and Property Development Finance marketing strategies, and manages above-the-line and below-the-line campaigns and activities. She is also a RAC Emerging Professionals Committee member where she drives development opportunities for over 250 emerging professionals at RAC. Danika is passionate about learning and is currently completing an MBA at The University of Western Australia.
Being a mentee in the Emerging Marketers Mentoring Program, provided Danika with the opportunity to meet with her mentor Clare and receive invaluable advice and support around connecting with customers, the future of marketing, leadership development, career planning and the importance of knowing yourself.
Clare McAlaney - Mentor

Clare McAlaney has been a marketing professional for over 25 years, steering brand strategy for organisations such as Cadbury, Rinnai and Bollé. In recent years, she has taken on contract executive roles in the not for profit sector. Her extensive portfolio spans finance, retail, product, construction services and products and DIY retail products.
Clare ran a successful agency for 13 years, with clients including Bulla Dairy, Woolworths and several retail activation agencies. She expanded the business in 2013 to include publishing, and in 2019 received the acclaimed gold medal for non-fiction at the New York Independent Publisher Awards, notably ahead of Fremantle Press.
Clare’s marketing areas of expertise are brand strategy and CX however she believes her prosecuting experience plays an important role in research and understanding of pain and gain points and evidence-based journey design. With four degrees in marketing, business law, business governance and admin, Clare is a strong believer in keeping skills current and ensuring that marketing theory is equally matched with technology and trend advancements. She recently completed a short course in CX Design with RMIT.
