Bio
Leann Webb is an experienced Chief Executive Officer and non-executive director, with a particular emphasis on product development, business growth, innovation and sales.
She is qualified with a Masters of Business Administration, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and recently completed the Oxford Programme on Negotiation at the University of Oxford in the UK.
Her strongest suit is in helping companies to win new clients and projects, and increase their revenue and market share. Her expertise includes communications, marketing, sales, business development, account management and customer service.
Leann is the founder and Managing Director of Aurora Marketing, the pioneer of the Australian submissions management sector. Since 2001, she has worked with companies including BAE Systems, Rheinmetall, CHC Helicopter, Downer, Spotless, Lend Lease, Broadspectrum, CPB, John Holland, Keolis Downer, SeaLink, Hatch, Ansaldo STS, Indra, Alstom, Bombardier, PwC and Suncorp. Her project experience covers everything from frigates to ferries, rollingstock and rail tracks, to defence bases, ports, airports, schools, hospitals, prisons, tunnels, toll roads, bridges and water treatment plants.
Along the way, Leann has developed a comprehensive tender methodology of tools, processes and precedents to ensure every tender had the best chance at winning. At last count, Leann and her team have won more than $135B worth of tenders, with a success rate of 98.5%.
Leann is a frequent public speaker on all things relating to bidding, and shares her experience through training seminars, blogs, podcasts and a soon-to-be-released book titled ‘How to Win’.
Leann is a voracious student and a self-confessed addict when it comes to acquiring new personal skills. She has an unquenchable thirst for travel and an ongoing love affair with archaeology and language (as evidenced by her study of a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Latin and a Masters of Linguistics). And on top of all of this, Leann is a qualified Krav Maga Instructor, one of Australia’s only Kids Krav Maga Instructors and a Women’s Self-Defence and Krav Maga Instructor.
