Join us for an expert panel discussion about one of the most overused and misunderstood words in business leadership - strategy.
For many senior marketers, the challenge isn’t defining strategy — it’s navigating the expectations that come with it. Too often, the word is tied to lengthy processes, expensive consultants, and documents that gather dust, while the pressure on marketing to deliver tangible business outcomes has never been greater.
So why has the word itself become so loaded? When does a CEO or leadership actually want a strategy, and when do they simply want someone to get on with it? What does genuinely useful strategic thinking look like when you’re the senior marketer in the room?
This panel brings together senior marketers operating at the intersection of business leadership and marketing for an honest discussion about when strategy genuinely helps, when it gets in the way, and what it actually looks like across different organisations and sectors.
We invite you to be part of the conversation. Alongside a live audience Q&A, you’ll have the chance to share your own perspectives, challenge ideas, and contribute your experience. Everyone will leave with at least one practical tool or framework they can put to work immediately.
You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with an incredible group of WA marketers and industry leaders over drinks and nibbles.
If you have any questions, please contact the AMI WA Committee at scwa@ami.org.au.
We look forward to seeing you there.
