Simon Banks
Author & Keynote Speaker on Creativity, Innovation & Design

Simon Banks is an author, podcaster and international speaker on creativity, innovation and design and a happily recovering artist.

He describes his geek out spot as the intersection of creativity and design, learning, people and passion which he sees as essential building blocks for future leaders and developing an innovative culture. His Big Why? To build a more creative world to enable people and business to thrive in the Modern Age.

Simon has substantial experience, with over 1400+ events, workshops and innovation programs facilitated across Europe, Asia, America and Australia across a diverse array of sectors and organisations. He’s worked to bring fresh thinking and innovation out of teams in companies that include: EY; Laing O’Rourke; Geoscience Australia; University of Technology Sydney; Carat Media, The Australian Department of Industry, Innovation and Science; and Volkswagen to name a few.

Simon lives and breathes creativity. He has exhibited his art across the globe, has lectured at the National Gallery of England and developed programs for institutions such as The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, The Sydney Fringe Festival and Vivid Festival and continues to have a foot firmly planted in both the creative and corporate worlds. (It’s his secret special sauce for empowering people to think differently)

Simon is the author of A Thousand Little Lightbulbs: How to kickstart a culture of Innovation in your Organisation and co-host of The Occupational Philosophers: A not-so-serious business podcast to spark imagination, curiosity and creativity.

And yes, the question that everyone asks, all drawings in his presentations are his.
