In a professional context Ian has over 30 years' experience in senior and executive management roles in diverse sectors such as; aged care, financial services and health care. His main area of professional focus has been in the discipline of marketing although he has also held executive responsibilities across a wide range of operational functions throughout his career.

He is a graduate of Deakin University, the University of South Australia, has undertaken Executive Education at the Said Business School Oxford University and is recognised as a Certified Practicing Marketer.
